SCHLOSSBERGBAHN, GRAZ, AUSTRIA

The Graz funicular (known as the Schloßbergbahn) is one of the city’s most recognizable tourist attractions.
During the short ride, the funicular climbs a gradient of about 60%.
Modern carriages feature glass roofs, providing a fantastic panoramic view of the rooftops of Graz’s old town.
The funicular has been connecting the city center with Schloßberg hill since 1894.
It takes you directly to the 16th-century Clock Tower (Uhrturm).
In addition to the funicular, the summit can be reached via a modern glass elevator that travels through the interior of the hill’s rock face.
